read moreInternational Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney), managed by ASM Global, has invested $3 million in upgrading its technology inventory to best-in-class Wi-Fi 6 capable infrastructure, bolstering its world class event delivery services.
The venue now features the fastest available Wi-Fi 6 and 6e capable access points, Multi-Gigabit capable network switches – made available for all visitors to the venue and has a 20Gb of internet connectivity upgrade in the pipeline.
Backed by its expert team of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) professionals, the investment enhances ICC Sydney’s comprehensive, high tech event delivery solutions to meet delegate demand for human-centric technology as identified in ICC Sydney’s RESPECT: Shaping Events for Success report.
ICC Sydney Chief Executive and Group Director – Convention Centres, ASM Global (APAC), Geoff Donaghy said the venue team was committed to elevating the event experience by implementing innovative solutions.
Donaghy noted “ICC Sydney was purpose-built to cater for ever-evolving meetings and through this investment it has strengthened its ability to execute even better events for our diverse network of clients and visitors.
“Our team members take great pride in presenting seamlessly integrated technological solutions and the latest internet connectivity venue enhancements support this ongoing quest for excellence.”
Senior Director, Strategic Experiences Asia Pacific at Salesforce, Stuart Frank said the venue team’s expertise combined with the upgraded internet network ensured the experience for attendees at the recent Salesforce World Tour was seamless and world class.
Frank added “ICC Sydney’s team provided fantastic technical support and infrastructure at the 2024 Salesforce World Tour event. Their commitment to innovation, with increased Wi-Fi 6 and 6e capability proved invaluable to the seamless operation of our event while enhancing the experience of our 9,800 attendees and exhibitors.”
