Eventing the Future expands with Sport NZ Forum and 2015 NZAEP Event Awards
New Zealand’s National Conference for Events Professionals, Eventing the Future 2015 has expanded its program with the addition of the one sporteventShare Forum, backed by event partner Sport NZ.
To be held on the day before the main conference, on Tuesday 21st July 2015, sporteventShare will focus on not only sharing ideas, IP and initiatives between sport event industry professionals but also promoting a more connected environment within the industry.
The sporteventShare Forum aims to provides the opportunity for forthright communication, about the trials, tribulations, needs and learnings experienced first-hand by New Zealand event organisers in a formal yet relaxed group setting with a view to making positive change. Delegates will receive practical resources and knowledge for future use.
Being held in Wellington on Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd July, Eventing the Future 2015 will also feature the New Zealand Association of Event Professionals (NZAEP) Event Awards.
26 events that bring people and communities together as well as drive domestic and international tourism are being recognised in this year’s Awards – which aim to celebrate the country’s leading events and event professionals.
Judge spokesperson and Tourism New Zealand Chief Executive, Kevin Bowler, says the judges were impressed by the quality of this year’s applications.
Bowler explained “the calibre and variety of events that New Zealand event professionals produce every year is phenomenal.
“These events are being developed primarily to bring communities together and to drive tourism.
“The work of the event professionals being recognised is among the most socially and economically important to New Zealand.”
Bowler is judging the awards alongside Creative New Zealand’s Stephen Wainwright, award-winning journalist Amanda Millar, Brown Bread Director Jo Blair and event consultant Chris Simpson.
