Among a series of awards presented to Community Leisure Management (CLM) at the recent New Zealand Recreation Association (NZRA) 2016 Awards, the company’s Marketing Manager Tom Mann was acknowledged with the NZRA Emerging Recreation Leader award.

Mann was recognised for a commitment to personal development while working in his role as CLM Marketing Manager to develop material that is fit for purpose and meets varying Council requirements around the country.

28-year-old Mann was also acknowledged for creativity in community recreation programme design and delivery especially in regards to the Out and About Programme currently being delivered across six local boards in South Auckland.

Explaining that it was an honour for a CLM employee to win such a highly coveted award, CLM Chief Executive Craig Carter stated “for someone who has only worked within the industry for such a short time, Tom Mann has already contributed a great amount.

“Tom’s passion, drive and enthusiasm for the recreation and sport sector is outstanding.

“Tom not only contributes positively to the sector, but also already adds great value through his leadership involvement and direction he provides to others.”

CLM capped off a great night winning both the Outstanding Pool Award for Richmond Aquatic Centre and Outstanding Recreation Facility for Papakura Recreation Centre.
