read moreBelgravia Leisure has secured five major awards at the 2019 Aquatics and Recreation Victoria (ARV) awards - which recognise the best of the best in facility, service and programs in Victoria’s aquatic and recreation industry.
The five categories in which Belgravia Leisure wer recognised at the annual awards, of the 20 on offer, were:
• Customer Service Award - Gayle Turner, Kilsyth Centenary Pool
• Duty Manager Award - Katarina Behan, Aquarena Aquatic and Leisure Centre
• Facility of the Year (Medium-sized) - Swan Hill Leisure Centre
• Swim School of the Year - WaterMarc
• Outstanding Contribution to the Aquatic and Recreation Industry Award - Dr Jeff Walkley, Chief Executive, Belgravia Foundation
Explaining that the spread of awards complements the hard work of Belgravia Leisure’s teams and the organisation’s commitment to outstanding customer service and program delivery, Belgravia Leisure Chief Executive Nick Cox stated “we are very proud of each and every award winner at Belgravia Leisure.
“Our employees are the lifeblood of our business and to see them winning individual awards as well as recognition in programming and facility management is very special.”
Cox praised his leadership team in Victoria, led by State Manager Kris Miller and Regional Managers Kara Monaghan and Chris Worsnop, for its success during a year of dynamic growth within the organisation.
Miller went on to say “across Victoria our people work very hard to ensure high quality experiences for our customers and our partners. It’s testament to their dedication and hard work that Belgravia Leisure can win awards across so many categories.
“We’re super proud of everyone who has contributed to our success in the ARV awards.”
Dr Walkley’s receipt of the award for Outstanding Contribution to the Aquatic and Recreation Industry, recognised his ongoing award-winning work in access and inclusion, enabling the most isolated people in their communities to experience the physical and mental benefits of exercise.
The ARV awards are an annual event with the prestigious night held this year at Melbourne’s premier waterfront event space, Peninsula.
The highlight of the industry year, the annual awards attract more than 700 industry guests, VIPs, sponsors and representatives from across the industry.
