read moreThe Australian Leisure Facilities Association's Queensland branch (ALFAQ) have announced a strategic alliance with the Australian Institute of Personal Trainers (AIPT) that aims to help members in two ways: through developing additional revenue streams and by looking at workforce training options to help retention and workforce development.
Through this partnership ALFAQ will be providing the aquatic and recreation industry the opportunity to explore a range of funded training initiatives to up-skill staff in areas such as:
• Creating a stronger and more talented workforce
• Increasing job satisfaction
• Improving retention rates.
To further outline these opportunities ALFAQ will be hosting a webinar at 1.30pm on Wednesday 30th January 2013.
During the 45 minute webinar, AIPT will outline a range of funded training initiatives, discuss their Campus model and student referral program.
Workforce development
In 2013 thousands of Australians could be eligible for a new Government scheme that provides funding of up to $4,000 towards training. This type of funding is unprecedented and represents a golden opportunity for employers, managers and business owners to up-skill their employees. In addition there is various state based funding available for traineeships (access varies state by state).
During the webinar AIPT will outline the opportunities related to this funding and how it applies to the recreation industry.
