Venue Operations Manager - Blundstone Arena

About the role
Working as part of the Venue Operations Team you will be supported by a team of professionals aiming to deliver the best outcomes for our customers. The Venue Operations Manager will manage the day-to-day operations of Blundstone Arena and make sure it operates in a compliant and efficient manner. The Venue Operations Manager will take the lead in the planning and delivery of world class events and operations for all Cricket, AFL and special events taking place at Blundstone Arena. The role will also manage tenant relationships, facility maintenance, compliance, contractors and take a leadership role across the Venue Operations team.

About you

• A great people leader that enables others to be the best version of themselves.
• Operational management experience, preferably in a sporting or entertainment venue.
• A strong understanding of facility maintenance requirements including statutory and preventative maintenance management.
• Experience in contractor management.
• Excellent planning skills and the ability to create an environment that encourages collaboration.
• You have exceptional relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• You have previous experience in budgeting.
• Are flexible in the way you work – working in hospitality and sport means sometimes you will be required to work outside of normal office hours.

Bonus points if you have previous event management experience.
