The Position
This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of an exciting new zoo in the role of Tourism Trade Manager, utilising your skills in an area that you are genuinely passionate about.

Working closely with our team of sales representatives, the Tourism Trade Manager will direct and coordinate international tourist sales via tour operator trade channels and be responsible for coordinating all facets of inbound product operations, including oversight of reservations and operations on the ground.

The Tourism Trade Manager will represent Sydney Zoo in cooperative promotional efforts; develop and maintain a positive relationship with the tourism community and conduct site tours and familiar for prospective partners, inbound event planners, and other potential clients.

The role will also be required to represent the company at trade shows, sales missions, and familiarisation tours for travel agents, and tour operators as required.

Skills, Knowledge, and Relevant Experience
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar ITO sales management role or business development role.
• A proven track record of delivering similar results in a similar business ideally within tourism.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a team to deliver outstanding results.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, with excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Thorough understanding of the international and domestic tourism distribution network.
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge and commitment to Workplace Health and Safety and Equal Employment Opportunity.
