Description
Are you interested in joining a leading facility in the leisure and fitness industry? We are currently seeking two (2) individuals who are experienced, motivated and proactive in the position of Aquatics Supervisor and Programs Supervisor. In these roles you will assist the Facility Manager and ensure the efficient and effective operations of the pool and stadiums along with ensuring industry compliance. We offer:

  • Permanent full time, thirty-eight (38) hours per week.
  • Temporary twelve (12) month full time position, thirty-eight (38) hours per week.
  • Commencing salary range from $91,394.68 to $109,673.72 per annum + 11% superannuation.

Key responsibilities of the roles include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the aquatics team and services and collaborate with the Oasis Operations Officer to ensure a safe, clean and hygienic environment for patrons and staff.
  • Coordinate with the Oasis Programs Supervisor to manage recreation and aquatic programs for the facility, keeping abreast of industry best practice.
  • Develop and review operation documents whilst ensuring compliance with all appropriate legislation, Australian Standards and industry best practice as they pertain to operations of the Oasis Aquatic Centre.
  • Research and identify Aquatic recreation programs to meet both present and future customer needs and/or provide alternate income streams.
  • In cooperation with the Oasis Manager and Oasis Programs Supervisor, develop and coordinate promotions in order to maximise participation in all aspects of Oasis programming.
  • Ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of all aquatics users as far as reasonably practicable.
  • Develop and lead strategies to grow visitations/usage, memberships and community interactions with the Oasis Aquatic Centre and off-site recreational facilities such as Bolton Park and Multi-Purpose stadiums.
  • Coordinate services and programs for offsite recreational facilities such as Bolton Park and Multi-Purpose stadiums including effective stakeholder management.

What you will need to succeed
We are looking for someone with:

  • Demonstrated experience relevant to the role such as people management, supervision swimming pool management, budget control, WHS, conflict resolution and development of sport and recreational programs.
  • Qualifications relevant to the role e.g. Certificate III or IV in Aquatics & Community Recreation, Diploma of Sport and Recreation Management or equivalent.
  • Current certificates in Aquatic Operations, Supervision and Management or willing to obtain.
  • Current Pool Lifeguard Qualification or willing to obtain and HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid.
  • NSW Working with Children Check Clearance.
  • Class C Drivers Licence.

In accordance with Work Health and Safety legislation, the successful applicant is required to be vaccinated for Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B and will be asked to provide evidence of this.

  • Diploma of Sport and Recreation Management or equivalent
  • Desirable Criteria
  • Pool Lifeguard Award
  • Aquatic Technical Operator / Pool Operators Certificate
  • Level 2/Senior/Apply/Provide First Aid
  • Certificate III in Aquatics and Community Recreation
