In an Australian first Supreme Heating has announced the release of NOVAPRO290, an innovative pool heat pump that utilises R290 as a refrigerant.

Dedicated to providing sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions, a Supreme Heating spokesperson advised “we are proud to introduce this innovative product to the Australian market.”

R290 is a natural hydrocarbon that has been gaining popularity in the heat pump industry due to its low Global Warming Potential (GWP) of only three - in stark contrast to other commonly used refrigerants such as R32, which has a GWP of 675.

This means that the use of R290 in the NOVAPRO290heat pump will have a significantly lower impact on the environment than other refrigerants, contributing to a more sustainable future.

Aside from its environmental benefits, R290 is also known for its high energy efficiency, which translates to lower energy bills for pool owners. The NOVAPRO290has been designed to maximise this efficiency, utilising a state-of-the-art compressor and heat exchanger to provide rapid and efficient heating of pool water.
