Launched at the recent IHRSA 2011 Convention and Trade Show, MyZone is a real time heart rate monitoring and calorie counting system that will help fitness club members achieve their exercise and weight loss goals.

Working to a key proposition of 'Making Movement Measurable' MyZone applications can be used on the gym floor or as part of studio classes and is also appropriate for business, corporate and community environments; schools and sporting clubs.

Emmett Williams, of suppliers Creative Fitness Marketing, believes that through the simple ease of use, low cost barrier to participate and the advanced proprietary innovation and technology, MyZone will change the face of fitness and health.

Williams explains "in every industry, there is one product or service that changes the game forever, in fitness and wellness I believe that product is MyZone."

MyZone does not deliver exercise (such as a health club, PE teacher or a piece of gym equipment) it merely collates and provides accurate feedback about that activity, for the first time 'Making Movement Measurable'.

Users wear a MyZone belt that records the information relating to their movement. This information is then downloaded via a MyZone station and the data stored in a 'cloud' so that user (and their health club, employer, school or insurer) can review in an effortless and cost effective way.

The specially patented MyZone belt provides memory capabilities so that the activity can be undertaken either inside or outside and simply 'uploads' as soon as the user ventures within 50 metres of a MyZone kiosk. Users then receive an email providing feedback of their 'move' and a link to their very own MyZone 'Moves' webpage.

Williams adds "not only have we created measurement of movement for users, we have also developed a powerful retention tool for clubs, while also generating secondary income for facilities.

"(In addition) for health clubs or schools, MyZone has the added benefit of being able to display a visual output of a participant's heart rate as a percentage (not just a beat) thus encouraging effort rather than fitness.

"MyZone not only enables organisations to connect with their existing members, staff, students and the like but opens the door to any business, school, doctor's surgery, weightloss centre, sports club, walking group or community hub that may be looking to improve the health of their members."

MyZone will be launched in the Asia Pacific region on stand N48 at the Australian Fitness and Health Expo and FILEX from 15th to 17th April at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.
