ARV event to showcase the best of Victoria’s aquatic and recreation sector
May 14, 2015

Aquatics & Recreation Victoria (ARV)’s upcoming Industry Awards gala is anticipating over 650 guests, representing all facets of the aquatics and recreation sector aquatic centres, local and state government, consultancies, architectural and engineering services, tertiary institutions, secondary schools, manufacturers, equipment wholesalers, product suppliers and peak bodies.

To be held on Friday 12th June at Central Pier, Docklands, the 15th annual Industry Awards will see the presentation of 18 separate awards, with a panel of 53 judges  all experts in their field - currently engaged in determining the winning nominations from 117 nominations.

With a ‘Hollywood’ theme, the gala will offer an evening of live entertainment and a dance floor of generous proportions for people to engage and have fun.

Looking forward to the Industry Awards gala, ARV Chair, Andrew Hocking states “the ARV Industry Awards are the highlight of the Victorian sport and recreation calendar.

“The people within our industry our champions at celebrating their own achievements, and those of their industry colleagues.”

According to ARV Chief Executive, Anthony McIntosh “a lot of effort from the industry goes into an event like this and this crowd doesn’t miss an opportunity to celebrate!

‘Victoria boasts a host of world class aquatic leisure facilities and outstanding & dedicated professionals, the equal of anywhere in the world.

“We have much to be proud of.”
