Set to be held in the New Zealand city of Dunedin from 12th to 16th December next year, the 17th World Leisure Congress 2022 is inviting special session and abstract presentation submissions.
Hosted by the University of Otago, with theme is ‘Learn well, live well’ new dates for special session and abstract presentations are:
In a statement on the Congress, the World Leisure Organisation advise “as the world continues to deal with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and its impacts on well- being, leisure in our lives is of crucial importance to help us learn and live well.
“Based on the ongoing uncertainty and pressures that the pandemic has caused, we have decided to adjust the key dates for contributions from academia and industry and extend the deadline for special session proposals and abstracts. This extension will allow more time for those wishing to contribute to the conference to develop their proposals.”
In relation to the new dates for special session and abstract presentations, World Leisure add “if you have already submitted a proposal for a special session, please note the date for notification of acceptance has changed and we will now be in touch from 3rd November 2021.”
Within the main Congress programme, World Leisure Congress 2022 will feature special sessions (90 minutes) that could be run in different ways, such as debates, discussion forums, workshops, etc.
The deadline call for special session proposals has been extended to 29th September 2021.
