Smart Connection Consultancy is a boutique sport and recreation consultancy who has become one of Australia’s leading advocates for the use of synthetic sports surfaces as a vehicle to grow participation in sport and recreation.

They are the technical advisors/consultants to the Australian Rugby Union; National Rugby League; Football Federation Australia; AFL (NSW/ACT) and Football NSW.  They are also co-promotor of the National Sports Convention.

In the past five years, they have been involved in over 70% of the football (football, AFL, rugby union and rugby league) fields installed in Australia.  From the planning to the procurement of $150m of synthetic sports surfaces, Smart Connection Consultancy’s Managing Director is passionate about using the technology to activate more children and adults to be active and participate in more community sport.

Smart Connection Consultancy has authored a number of books which are available free of charge to share management practices to improve the communities thinking and understanding of the technology.  These include:

The Smart Guide to Synthetic Sports Fields Rubber Infill (2017)
The Smart Guide to Maintaining Synthetic Sports Fields (Long Pile) (2016)
The Smart Guide to Synthetic Sport Surfaces (2014)

These can be downloaded from the Smart Connection Consultancy website

In 2017 two more guides are planned: Hybrid Sport Turf and the A-Z of Synthetic Football Surfaces.
