World Gym Australia opens its 50th location bringing community and fitness together

National fitness chain, World Gym Australia, has hit a significant milestone with the opening of its 50^th club in Lambton in the Newcastle region - marking a new high point in the company’s rapid growth across Australia.

The World Gym Lambton grand opening drew enthusiastic crowds and fitness lovers eager to experience the gym’s state-of-the-art equipment, expansive workout areas, and vibrant community atmosphere.

A boxing-themed mural inside the new World Gym Lambton underscores the club’s high-energy environment. The Lambton facility is open 24/7 and boasts extensive amenities – from a functional training zone and reformer Pilates studio to dedicated sauna and ice bath recovery suites – plus a free crèche for members’ children.

As the newest and biggest club in Newcastle, World Gym Lambton provides ample space for the community to train, recover, and stay motivated, all under one roof.

The club’s modern design and cutting-edge equipment reflect World Gym’s trademark focus on quality, with hand-picked equipment and large open gym floors designed to inspire legendary workout sessions.

Building an Australian Fitness Destination
From its humble beginnings in 2008, World Gym Australia has evolved into a nationally recognised fitness brand, committed to supporting communities through accessible, results-driven training spaces. Over the past 17 years, the brand’s footprint has expanded rapidly – reaching 40 clubs by late 2023 and now 50 clubs across Australia. This growth has been backed by strategic partnerships and investments with ASX-listed operator Viva Leisure taking a 25% equity stake in World Gym Australia, a move that is providing capital and scale to fuel further growth. According to World Gym Australia’s directors, these developments position the company as “the largest big box gym chain in the land down under,” with a surge of new clubs in the pipeline.

With World Gym Lambton now on the map, the company is accelerating into its next chapter. In the coming year, World Gym Australia is set to debut a dozen more locations across multiple states, bringing its renowned fitness experience to even more communities.
