read more25% of fitness club members would join a fitness club online, according to the 2011 Australian & New Zealand Fitness Industry Survey (ANZFIS), a rise from 17% who said they would do so last year.
As reported in the recently released the 2011 ANZFIS, produced by Ezypay, fitness clubs across Australia and New Zealand would most likely use a clubs website to check class timetable (72%), opening hours (57%) and would like also to track their exercise and diet progress (46%).
Ezypay report that this year's survey was bigger and better with over 11,000 club members (7,000 in 2010) and over 400 owners and managers of clubs participating.
New Zealand clubs and members were included in this year survey in partnership with Fitness New Zealand.
Fitness club members also told Ezypay what influenced their long term commitment to membership, what would make them move to another club and what social media tool they most use and would like their club to communication to them with. The clubs reported on what their challenges and concerns were for the coming year, staff pay rates, and financial breakdown to name a few.
The report is set out in an easy to use reference style document with automated tabs to go straight to a specific section and includes highlighted operational check lists to help club owners quickly identify what is critical on a day-to-day level.
The full report is available for only $99.
