Wibit launch new aquatic inflatables, emphasising quality and safety standards
Aquatic playground innovators Wibit have revealed their latest Sports Park combinations as well as new product features including The Dome, High Roller and Monkey Bars - attractions never seen on the water before.
In addition, existing Wibit modules like the Hurdle or Wiggle Bridge have been modified to integrate into any Wibit combination while a specialised Lifeguard Tower has been created to ease lifeguard duties and increase safety.
Further innovation now sees Wibit Sports Parks arranged with ‘Infinity’ loops, allowing for endless pathways and preventing bottlenecks on the floating playgrounds.
To fit individual location parameters, Wibit Sports Parks vary in their dimensions and capacity based on four different standard combinations – that can accommodate from 35 up to 145 people at the same time. Customised combinations can also be prepared to meet individual needs.
In the absence of an Australian Standard for waterborne inflatables, German-based Wibit also emphasises that its products conform to the highest international safety standards.
Wibit executives helped developed Europe’s EN 15649 safety standard – which has several catagories for the different inflatable components (including air mattresses, towables, giant inflatables etc).
With Wibit products falling under Part 6 of the safety standard (inflatables for active use, for example water trampolines, inflatable climbing structures on the water, obstacle courses), Wibit have chosen the world renowned German TÜV test house to certify its products – to ensure that Wibit products not only meet, but exceed the existing standards.
Each Wibit product holds a certificate that proves the products comply with these strict regulations.
Explaining this commitment to safety excellence, Wibit Chief Executive Romann Rademacher states “we believe that safety should always be the highest priority next to the quality of the product.”
Rademacher also suggests that in the absence of an Australian Standard, Standards Australia should look to adopt Europe’s EN 15649 standard.
