The Timezone™ Surfers Paradise location houses a variety of activities under one indoor roof including Laser Skirmish, bumper cars, miniature golf, a vintage shooting gallery, basketball games and a bowling alley among other innovative attractions.
The family entertainment centre also hosts birthday parties and provides a new venue for corporate functions and events for businesses.
With Uribe at the helm, the Surfers Paradise family entertainment centre has expanded its size from 3400 metre² to 5000 metre² in recent years.
In addition, in February this year a brand new 3000 metre² Timezone opened for business on the southern Gold Coast at Coolangatta, with this facility boasting a full size bowling alley
Built at a cost of $3.5 million, this second store is truly testament to the continued commitment that Timezone has on the Gold Coast.
As Uribe recalls “28 years ago, Grundy’s was established as an indoor theme park in the same location.
“We changed the concept to focus on families by bringing in attractions and activities rather than video games. Now over 80% of our visitors are families,” he said.
Timezone Group International, Chief Executive Sonaal Chopra said he was grateful to Uribe and his Timezone team for having achieved such local recognition for the Timezone brand.
Timezone operates more than 200 family entertainment centres in Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines and India.
