Ticketek and ninemsn to integrate ticketing
ninemsn and Ticketek have joined forces to integrate Ticketekâs booking engine with relevant content on the ninemsn internet portal.
Aimed at enhancing the entertainment experience of more than 8 million people each month, the deal between the two companies means that ninemsnâs audience can move seamlessly from reading about an upcoming event to purchasing tickets to the event.
Ticket purchasing will be integrated across the ninemsn site, including its market-leading entertainment offering, The Fix, and sports through Wide World of Sports.
Ticketek Chief Executive Geoff Jones (pictured) stated, "the partnership between Ticketek and ninemsn marks a new era for our business as the market leader in ticket sales to live entertainment. Not only does it boost Ticketek's audience reach, it also enhances the Ticketek offering with entertainment, sport and news content from ninemsn offered on the Ticketek home page."
The deal also sees ninemsn take on the advertising sales for Ticketek's online properties in an exclusive advertising representation arrangement, which is expected to increase the amount of advertising on the Ticketek site.
The partnership is a clear demonstration of the power of integration for PBL Media companies and highlights the unique competitive advantage that PBL Media group offers.
The Ticketek integration across ninemsn is live from 1st September.
