Thinkwell Group publishes white paper on museums in a post-Coronavirus world
Thinkwell Group, the global experience design and production company, has released a white paper looking at the transformation of museums and cultural institutions following the global Coronavirus pandemic.
The white paper, which explores how museums and cultural institutions are changing in a post-COVID-19 world, looks at how these organisations have adapted to the 'new normal' as they begin to reopen to the public.
Written by Cynthia Sharpe, an expert in the industry and Principal Cultural Attractions & Research at Thinkwell Group, the white paper presents examples from the actions that various museums and cultural institutions are undertaking to adapt to the new normal.
Sharpe explains "we see that surviving, and ultimately thriving, isn’t a matter of tiny cuts or wholesome departmental eliminations: it’s a matter of really taking a step back and reassessing everything."
Thinkwell also collaborated with Ray Giang, Vice President of Planning & Advisory Services of MR-ProFun, a planning and advisory firm based in the US state of California, working with the company to cross-reference data and research industry trends for the white paper.
Giang added "there’s no easy roadmap, but with examples we’ve found that have worked for other museums and institutions, we feel that these can help the industry as a whole to use as a template for their own use to come back better than ever before."
Thinkwell Group has also recently produced a white paper which explores socially-distanced theme park planning in a post-COVID-19 era.
