The Gaibo Agency launches new Australian wellness division to cater for Chinese tourists

As demand for wellness travel increases, The Gaibo Agency has launched a new division, specialising in Australian wellness experiences for visitors from China.Alongside Life First, a division of Australia’s leading corporate medical company, Executive Health Solutions, The Gaibo Agency has created a series of unique travel packages that combine the best of Australia’s wellness products and resorts, with tailored health programs.

With a population of 1.42 billion, and unprecedented economic growth, wellness travel is the fastest growing sector in China, growing 33% in the past two years, according to the Global Wellness Institute.

The Gaibo Agency’s Managing Director, Garry Burns explains “the health system in China can be challenging, so high-end Chinese travellers are looking to combine wellness with travel, in order to better understand their current health, and enjoy some unique, curated travel experiences.

“What was once the domain of the older traveller is now becoming increasingly popular with young, upwardly mobile Chinese. Australia is still one of the leading holiday destinations for the Chinese traveller, and instead of shopping and sightseeing, they’re looking for more authentic travel experiences based on wellness.”

The Gaibo Agency has curated a number of premium Australian travel experiences exclusively for the Chinese traveller, which combine comprehensive medical assessments with unique experiences, such as personalised take-home exercise programs, private beach picnics, nature hikes, and more. Interpreters will be on hand throughout the medical assessments at Executive Health Solutions to explain any results and answer questions.

With clinics at St Vincent’s hospital in Sydney, as well as CBD locations in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, Life First offer comprehensive assessments that provide early detection of illness and mitigation of ongoing health risks.

The Gaibo Agency was created in 2016, to assist Australian tourism businesses and government agencies in the complex Chinese tourism market. Already successfully operating an Influencer agency that connects Australian tourism operators with Chinese Influencers; and a Chinese translation service; the launch of a wellness travel arm was the next natural step.
