Sydney Aquarium to relaunch as SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium
Sydney's famous Darling Harbour attraction, the Sydney Aquarium, will be rebranded under the internationally renowned SEA LIFE flag when it reopens in September.
Following an extensive six-month overhaul its first major refurbishement since opening in 1988 and a $10 million investment from Merlin Entertainments Group, the renamed as SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium will boast a truly interactive and educational experience with the SEA LIFE banner stamp.
The Merlin Entertainments Group's owned and operated SEA LIFE brand is globally recognised as a centre of excellence for marine management, education, interactive exhibits and conservation, all of which will set the benchmark for some of the brand new activities and exciting exhibits that will open to the public this September.
Visitors to the new SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium will be taken on a journey of discovery through 14 newly-themed zones, including an exciting new Shark Walk, a Tropical Bay of Rays Habitat, an interactive Touch Pool, a Shipwreck area and a brand-new ocean tunnel walk-through the pinnacle of the
Aquarium experience which will take visitors on a journey through the dark side of Sydney Harbour.
The site of one of the world's largest Oceanariums, an impressive 1.5 million litres, SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium will also become home to the most diverse collection of sharks and rays in the world.
