With a hybrid gym concept that integrates functional group training alongside their existing 24/7 gym model, Australian gym franchise Stepz Fitness is delivering on its expansion plans with a new location in NSW at Delroy Park, Dubbo having opened yesterday.

Stepz Fitness Dubbo - located on the corner of the Delroy Park Shops - has all new cardio and weight machines as well as a Functional Group Training Room.

Stepz Fitness Franchisor Sam Waller advised "when I started in fitness 11 years ago as a Personal Trainer the big gripe I had with the 24/7 gym industry was that we couldn't give results and that community feel with only individual access.

"I wanted to help people on a larger scale and focus on them getting results and functional training affords us that".

"The Functional Group Training room is where we will run classes that involve cardio, high intensity, boxing and yoga. It's a mix of mind and body.

"We've got the best trainers in Dubbo including Bodie Hennifey who has been in Dubbo his whole life.

Explaining how Stepz Fitness is different from other 24/7 gyms Waller notes "I am a fan of the community aspect of gyms. We work on the motto that everyone is welcome.

"We want this to be a no ego, non-intimidatory environment where people can come do a class or wight circuit then sit down at our communal table near reception and have a chat and socialise before they leave.

"We don't want Stepz Fitness to be a place where you just come and do a quick workout and leave. We encourage people to sit down have a coffee and relax and talk to other people so it's all about community.

"We will support people through their goals whatever they maybe.

"I want to make it as affordable as we can with a cap on the number of members that Stepz Fitness can have."

Costs
There is a foundation rate $14.95 per week for 24/7 access to the gym.
Functional Group Training is $24.95 per week for unlimited classes.
If you are a government worker Stepz Fitness accepts Fitness Passport which give you reduced fees.

Times
The hours of operation are Mon – Thurs 9am to 6pm; Fri & Sat 9am to 12pm
Classes start at 6am with Stepz Fit, Hllt and Strong, then there are mother’s classes at 9:30 and a class for Seniors on Fridays at 8:30am. After work classes start at 5:30pm.
