Star Trac Changes Present Opportunities for Blue Fitness
Ben Davies, Director of Blue Fitness Australia and New Zealand, says he is excited about the recent change of leadership at global fitness equipment supplier Star Trac.
As Davies explains "the previous purchase by Core Industries gives Star Trac great stability going forward, and coupled with the new leadership that Mike Bruno and Dustin Grosz' bring from Core Industries, means that Star Trac is absolutely securing their long-term success.
"New Star Trac President, Dustin Grosz, is renowned within the industry, and bringing him to the table definitely represents a new era in ownership of Star Trac, after his successes with Stairmaster alongside Michael Bruno."
Unisen Inc., the original owner of Star Trac, began operation in 1988. Tremendous growth throughout the mid part of the last decade led Star Trac to be the fastest growing brand in the international fitness manufacturing world, and the third largest according to studies by the International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association (IHRSA).
Davies adds that this strategy, in conjunction with the Global Financial Crisis, has meant new leadership is required for a new direction and continued innovation.
Mike Leveque, the incumbent President during the change of ownership last July, resigned in early March 2011 in order to pursue other business interests.
"Mike Leveque was a great leader through the changeover period in 2010, and itï¾s a great testament to him that Star Trac has remained stable during the past year," says Davies.
"What this means for our customers is that they can expect absolutely the best service and quality going forward, this is the last piece of the jigsaw from the change in ownership and itï¾s a great time to be associated with the Star Trac brand.
"Looking forward into 2011, Star Trac has a number of new product releases and updates commencing at the annual IHRSA Trade show in San Francisco and will be showing for the first time in the southern hemisphere at the Australian Fitness and Health Expo in April."
Blue Fitness was established in 2002 and is the exclusive Australasian supplier for Star Trac, Hoist, Woodway and Purmotion to name a few.
