Spotless acquires ACG security business
November 14, 2014

Integrated services company Spotless has signed a conditional acquisition agreement to purchase the customer contracts and associated assets of ACG, a national security business with an annual turnover of more than $80 million.

The acquisition is expected to be completed during November, with ACG’s 1,500 employees joining Spotless’ (SPO) existing 33,000 strong workforce, and ACG to be subsumed under the Spotless brand.

An announcement from Spotless stated "ACG and Spotless’s leadership groups have been making preparations for this acquisition over the last several months, which included a very stringent and comprehensive due diligence being conducted by Spotless.

"The acquisition of ACG has been seen by Spotless to be strategic, as they will enjoy the strong reputation that ACG has within the security industry."

Spotless added that many of ACG’s clients are existing Spotless customers.

Spotless Chief Executive Bruce Dixon told The Australian that the move was “an exciting and important strategic acquisition, which will substantially increase our technical capability in a rapidly growing industry”.

The Spotless statement added "for ACG clients, this means that their partnership with ACG will now be further enhance as Spotless brings with it a greater infrastructure and resources to achieve higher delivery performance.

"For ACG staff, this means that new opportunities will be created as Spotless brings diversity in its operations."
