South East Leisure partnership brings Padel to Noble Park Aquatic Centre
December 2, 2024

South East Leisure (SEL) has partnered with Game4Padel, bringing the sport of Padel to Noble Park Aquatic Centre located in Melbourne’s East.

The addition of Padel at the Noble Park Aquatic Centre, to be known as Noble Park Padel, is set to be a game-changer, creating a huge drawcard that boosts the facility’s appeal and brings an exciting, fresh recreational option to the City of Greater Dandenong (CoGD) and surrounding communities.

What is Padel?
Often described as a fusion of Pickleball, Squash and Tennis, Padel is a social sport that is easy to learn and can be played by people of all ages and abilities.

It's considered one of the fastest-growing sports in the world, with over 25 million active players in more than 110 countries.

It’s estimated that Australia currently has 31 Padel courts, with plans to increase to over 200 by 2026.

Noble Park Padel, at Noble Park Aquatic Centre, will be the first Padel facility in the South East of Melbourne and the only Padel facility co-located with an Aquatic facility in Australia.

New Facilities Opening in February 2025.
Scheduled to open in February, Noble Park Padel will consist of three newly constructed Padel courts, further enhancing the offering of Noble Park Aquatic Centre which also boasts a new 24/7 gym, group fitness rooms, 50metre pool, café and more.

John Clark, Chief Executive of SEL enthused “we are thrilled to have teamed up with Game4Padel to bring the first Padel facility to the South East. We are always looking at ways to provide more value to our members and greater options for people within the City of Greater Dandenong to be active and bringing the fastest-growing sport in the world here is truly exciting.”

Game4Padel will offer social nights and professional coaching on-site, with structured training programs led by highly trained coaches. Players at all levels will benefit from expert guidance, enhancing their skills and enjoyment of the game.

Matt Levey, Chief Executive of Game4Padel Australia & New Zealand, highlighted the partnership’s impact noting “this partnership is yet another recognition of the growth of Padel, and we are thrilled to expand our footprint into the South East of Melbourne. We can't wait to get started and showcase our state-of- the-art facilities at Noble Park Aquatic Centre.”

The new Padel facilities will be available for casual bookings, making this exciting sport accessible to everyone. In addition, members of Noble Park Aquatic Centre will gain exclusive access to priority court booking, discounted rates, and member-first access to special events and special offers.

This initiative aligns with SEL’s commitment to improving health and wellbeing by creating active, connected communities.
