SKC Operations reports record year in leisure retailing
SKC Operations Pty Ltd (SKCorp) has enjoyed a record year servicing existing and new customers in retail management, branded merchandise and uniform provision.
Servicing clients across Australia and New Zealand, the Melbourne-based consulting company specialises in the delivery of proven retail strategies for aquatic, fitness, recreation and sport clients.
Since 2008, SKCorp has provided retail support services at 35 outlets with a combined retail sales of $2.75 million and in excess of $2.85 million in merchandising contracts. -
Working with clients to build sustainable retail sales with processes and systems to increase client revenues and return on investment.
Over the past year, SKCorp’s consultancy has included:
1. Concept and builds – at new and refurbished locations
Recently completed work at Leisurelink Geelong, Hawthorn Aquatic and Leisure Centre; Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Centre (PARC) Frankston; and Bellarine Aquatic Centre has included self selection model in both retail and cafe/F&B outlets.
SKCorp has looked to use the total foyer space to engage customer interaction and maximise the opportunity to increase sales while also looking to drive down front end wages by integrating the reception, retail and cafe areas.
Where possible, SKCorp has represented the operators/owners in liaising with the architects designing facility’s retail and cafe areas.
2. Ongoing Retail Management and Assistances - over 30 centres
In this area, clients ask for methods to maximise sales, have balance inventory levels sales budgets, maintain presentation and promotion integration with marketing plans.
Here, SKCorp clients often comment on the value of having a retail expert to assist with measuring and driving their businesses.
SKCorp takes care of supplier relationships in areas of range selection, order approvals and presentation obligations.
3. Branded Merchandise and Uniform Providers
Providing uniforms and merchandise for a number of clients including recent clients the City of Greater Geelong, Maroondah City Council Aquatic Centres, Macquarie University and Victoria Golf.
In this area SKCorp offer a fully vertical delivery process, from design concept, sourcing, quoting, warehousing and delivery. This service is unique as we work with teams to develop and deliver merchandise needs to promote brand, add value to membership packs through to staff uniforms both corporate and recreation needs.
SKCorp acts as a single point of contact to deliver their clients’ desired outcomes.
SKCorp’s clients look to see improvement in their retail areas, with SKCorp meeting client needs through understanding range mix, required inventory hold values, best practise presentation techniques and key measures to analyse areas for improvement.
