Royal Life Saving announces new partnership program for swim schools

Royal Life Saving announces new partnership program for swim schools
September 22, 2021

With droughts, fires and COVID-19 have impacted the swim school sector over the past few years, resulting in loss in income, staffing and financial support, Royal Life Saving NSW/ACT and Tasmania has launched a new partnership program to help swim schools get back on their feet and get aspiring swimmers into their pools.

Advising that, while resilient, the aquatic industry has only just pulled through these challenges, Craig Roberts, General Manager - Drowning Prevention and Education at Royal Life Saving NSW/ACT and Tasmania, explains “our Swim School Partnership is a hub of people, resources, and offerings brought together to give you everything you need to build and deliver successful solutions for you and/or your customers.

“The new Swim School Partnership extends on the work with the National Swimming and Water Safety Framework to deliver a Swim Teacher Development Framework and a Swim School Excellence Framework and a range of supporting resources so that Swim Schools have what they need at their fingertips.”

Backed by Government, the Swim School Partnership also offer aquatic facilities the opportunity to take advantage of the new recently revitalised Swim and Survive Program from Royal Life Saving.

The Online and innovative solution provides swim schools with access to:

  • Free and heavily discounted Swim Teacher Courses
  • The new Swim School Excellence Guideline
  • The new Swim Teacher Development Guidelines
  • To a library of over 45 Teaching Videos (and growing)
  • To over 50 new Teaching Activities and Games for Swim Teachers
  • To an extensive range of marketing resources
  • To a dedicated Swim School Forum
  • To resources, tips and techniques on implementing Child Safety provisions within your Aquatic Facility
  • To free online education programs for Children aged three to 15 years of age all aligned to the curriculum, syllabus and milestones on the National Swimming and Water Safety Framework
