Registrations open for Sports Law Conference
Registrations are now open for the 2009 ANZSLA conference, being held this year in Canberra from 7th to 9th October 2009.
With the theme 'The Price of Sport', the conference sessions will discuss drugs in sport, sponsorship and gambling, sponsorship in a declining market, international sports arbitration, governance, organised crime in sport, social leadership and ethical decision making.
The MC this year is Stephanie Brantz, Sports Commentator and Channel Nine presenter while international keynote speaker Declan Hill is an investigative journalist, documentary maker and academic, specialising in the study of organised crime and international issues. His recent book âThe Fix: Soccer & Organized Crimeâ examined the corruption at the heart of international football.
Another keynote will come from Matt Miller, the recently appointed Chief Executive of the Australian Sports Commission.
