read moreRecreation Aotearoa has spotlighted the Parks Planning Masterclass they have developed with Xyst. The full day class is designed for both new and experienced parks planners, park managers, coordinators and anyone involved in the management and administration of reserves and open spaces.
The Masterclass will introduce participants to the intricacies of parks planning, including legal requirements under the Reserves Act 1977, parks planning tools, reserve classification and different approaches to reserve management planning. There will also be an opportunity for participants to bring their parks planning questions along to be answered by experts.
The Masterclass will likely be hosted by five Recreation Aotearoa Regions, with three events planned for the North Island and two for the South Island, starting on 10th September 2024 in the Central Region with Matamata as the venue. Other dates and locations will be released soon.
