Raging Waters Sydney uses Blacktown Council aquatic facility for lifeguard training

Raging Waters Sydney uses Blacktown Council aquatic facility for lifeguard training
December 29, 2020

Approaching the summer season Raging Waters Sydney made use of Blacktown City Council’s aquatic facilities to prepare its lifeguards for the peak season.

Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope became the training venue for the western Sydney waterpark’s  staff as they undertook vital training in life saving techniques, customer service and emergency actions in preparation for the season opening.

Advising of the cooperation, Blacktown City Mayor, Tony Bleasdale stated “this was a wonderful opportunity for two of Blacktown City’s major aquatic venue operators to work hand-in-hand.

“Council operates five outstanding leisure and aquatic facilities under our ‘Key Venues’ banner and we are so pleased that Raging Waters Sydney can use our venue for their training.”

The link has also seen the waterpark provide a range of water park entry discounts to Key Venues learn to swim and health and fitness members.

Raging Waters Sydney General Manager, Tony Brancazio added “we are delighted to be working alongside Blacktown Key Venues in keeping our community water-safe this summer.

“No matter where you are cooling off this summer it’s important that we all follow the Royal Life Saving ‘Keep Watch’ guidelines, particularly with supervising young children in and around the water.”
