QTouring - Queensland’s new arts touring and engagement service – has unveiled its QShowcase: Arts Market + Conference, to be held from 9th-11th June 2025 in Toowoomba.

This premier Queensland annual event for the state’s arts sector is an important platform for cultivating fresh touring opportunities and collaborations. It brings together producers, presenters, companies and venues who will work to ensure audiences and communities across Queensland can access high quality arts experiences.

QShowcase will be held at Toowoomba’s historic theatre, The Empire, one of Australia’s largest performing arts precincts outside of a capital city.

Presented by Stage Queensland and QTouring, and supported by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland, QShowcase invites producers to present their work directly to presenters and venues, offering valuable showcasing, networking and partnerships opportunities.

QTouring Director Angela Chaplin OAM said QShowcase offered an exciting opportunity to discover incredible Queensland talent and connect producers and presenters across the state.

Chaplin noted “from pitches and excerpts of exciting new work to tour to company updates from local artists; we can guarantee a slew of performances from great artists to get us all talking.”

QLD Minister for the Arts John-Paul Langbroek added “Queensland communities deserve access to the very best arts experiences on offer from the state’s talented artists and companies. Touring is an essential service to help meet this need, while providing significant employment opportunities across the creative workforce.

“QTouring’s service delivery, including QShowcase, will help support the vibrancy and liveability of regional communities through touring and deliver arts-led social and economic outcomes through cultural tourism.”

Applications for QShowcase are now open via QTouring’s newly launched website and digital resource hub, designed to expand touring opportunities across the state. The hub offers a growing directory of Queensland presenters, tour-ready works, upcoming events and initiatives, alongside practical tools and resources to support tour planning and delivery.

Stage Queensland President Bradley Rush said the launch of QTouring’s resource hub marks a significant step in supporting the state’s arts sector adding “It’s a platform that not only helps artists get their work seen but also assists presenters in finding the right works for their audiences, ultimately enriching Queensland’s cultural offerings.”
