Explaining the acquisition, Sports Group Chief Executive Frank Dittrich states “with the acquisition of Team Sports, Sport Group strengthens its global leading position and supports its strong profitable growth.

“It also encourages the global rollout of the Polytan brand as a quality leader. I am delighted about this outstanding step forward for our customers and our own performance.”

Team Sports will continue to operate from its base in the the Sydney suburb of Seven Hills with Team Sports Chief Executive John Curtis, his management team, and staff remaining with the organisation.

Welcoming the acquisition, Curtis adds “we’re excited to be part of the Sport Group. This divestiture allows us to embrace new technologies, widen our product range, whilst still providing our clients with our outstanding customer service.”

Sport Group Asia Pacific Chief Executive Stephen Niven concluded “Sport Group is thrilled to have the opportunity to expand upon our sports surface division. We are very excited to be working with an outstanding market leader that complements our already existing synthetic surface group in Australia.”
