PMY Group to undertake major technology investment and management partnership at the Sydney Showgrounds
Technology advisory, investment and delivery company PMY Group has announced a major technology investment and management partnership with the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW.
The 10-year partnership will see PMY design, fund and operate a multimillion-dollar technology solution for the Sydney Showground (GIANTS) Stadium and its adjacent show halls, plenary and conferencing facilities.
The solution, the first of its kind undertaken by the PMY Group, includes the following technologies: local area network; high density Wi-Fi; a digital screen solution; LED parapet signage (on level two of the venue; fan activation zones; and a captive portal and data analytics platform.
The investment model has been developed in collaboration with key stadium tenants, GWS GIANTS and Sydney Thunder, with all parties sharing an innovative vision to maximise fan experience and engagement across the precinct.
Excited for what this partnership will bring, PMY Group Managing Director, Paul Yeomans explains “our investment and management partnership represent a significant milestone for our business, and we couldn’t be more pleased to partner with our long-term client RAS to enhance the technology infrastructure across the precinct.”
The technology partnership will see a continuing program of works over the term to position Sydney Showground Stadium at the very forefront of customer and operational experience.
Welcoming what it will bring, RAS Chief Operating Officer, Darryl Jeffrey advised “we are constantly focused on providing a world class experience at the Sydney Showground and are ecstatic to partner with PMY to further the digital and technology infrastructure and amenity at the site.”
The project features active collaboration with both the GWS GIANTS and Sydney Thunder who are excited to further enhance their match day experience through use of the new technologies.
GWS GIANTS Head of Commercial, Sam Attrill added “through the use of smart technologies, digital media and enhanced partner integration the new stadium solution will deliver an impactful and memorable match day experience for the GIANTS’ corporate, fan and member audiences.
“The GIANTS have welcomed the opportunity to work with global leaders in this space and look forward to bringing the platforms to life across the remainder of the 2019 AFL Season and beyond”.
Looking forward to the summer ahead Cricket NSW General Manager of Commercial, Ben Hirschfeld concluded “the Sydney Showground Stadium is already one of the best places to watch T20 cricket. The new technology will take the fan experience to a new level, and the Sydney Thunder are excited to be part of it.”
