PGA of Australia announces Director appointment

PGA of Australia announces Director appointment
June 4, 2019

The Professional Golfers Association of Australia Limited has announced the appointment of Paul Lappin as a Director of the Company.

Rodger Davis, Chair of the PGA, announced this appointment at the Annual General Meeting of the PGA of Australia held at Twin Waters Golf Club on Tuesday 28th May 2019.

Lappin is an experienced executive and non-Executive Director who has a reputation for providing independent and thoughtful advice to Government, business and community organisations, particularly in relation to building a strong strategic vision and corporate governance framework to ensure it can be achieved.

A Chartered Accountant and auditor, he has worked for 10 years in senior positions in Australia and USA with global professional services firm PricewaterhouseCoopers as well as running a successful strategic financial consultancy that provided support for business and Government clients.

His work as a director with the Australian Grand Prix Corporation and the Melbourne Fashion Festival and former chairman roles in a national catering firm and a digital disruption firm has given Lappin experience in the need to find and engage the next generation of customer or supporter.

He is also highly regarded and connected within the Victorian business, political and sporting communities where he has a strong network and is renowned for being able to bring people of diverse views and backgrounds together around a common and aligned goal.

Lappin joins PGA Members Rodger Davis, Ian Baker-Finch, David Stretton and Stephen Hutchison as well as other Non-Member Directors James Erskine, Richard Lazar and Carole Brownlee on the Board of the PGA of Australia.
