read moreThe Wellness Way, a new addition to the 2024 Outback Queensland Traveller’s Guide, offers a roadmap to relaxation and rejuvenation through hot springs and artesian baths across 24 destinations, blending luxury with rugged charm and aiming to promote outback tourism while supporting local economies.
Featuring artesian springs, pools, spas and bathhouses that blend luxury with the rugged charm of the outback, the Wellness Way is designed to soothe the body, mind and soul while encouraging more people to experience an outback Queensland holiday.
It covers a wide range of towns across 24 locations including Mitchell, St George, Cunnamulla, Eulo, Yowah, Quilpie, Blackall, Barcaldine, Ilfracombe, Longreach, Winton, Julia Creek, Mount Isa, Gilberton and Talaroo.
The Wellness Way is a new feature of the 2024 Outback Queensland Traveller’s Guide that has just been launched, filled with must-do experiences, drive guides and maps, key sights and attractions, family-friendly activities and travel tips.
From fishing loops to eco trails, farm stays to mine tours and an internationally acclaimed art exhibition on loan from the National Gallery of Australia, the outback continues to offer new travel experiences and activities to cater for every interest.
The Wellness Way has been funded through the Queensland Regional Tourism Network Contestable Grants Program.
Outback tourism supports around 4,200 jobs and generates more than $891 million for the local economy each year.
