Operators sought to partner Tobruk Memorial Pool redevelopment
Cairns Regional Council is seeking commercial partners to operate at its redeveloped Tobruk Memorial Pool when it reopens in 2016.
The Council is inviting businesses to tender for the right to lease out an area next to facility's main pool and to construct the required infrastructure andmanage the space as a mutually beneficial commercial venture.
Suggesting that the space is suited to businesses and organisations in complementary areas including fitness, health and wellness, rehabilitation, and sport and recreation, the Council is highlighting the potential of being part of an an integrated health, fitness, wellbeing, recreation and sporting hub.
The Master Plan provides space of 1700 metres2 along with 230 internal car parks shared with the new pool development, the Cairns International Tennis Centre and Cairns Hockey
Council will assess submissions based on their:
• Contribution to the values and themes of the North Cairns Sporting precinct
• Performance against the requirements of building on public land
• Ability to deliver
• Community and regional benefit
Those interested should contact Cairns Regional Council Leisure Services Coordinator Tim Dendle on 07 4044 3309, E: email@example.com
