The NSW Rugby League has stepped in to ensure that all junior competitions will be held in the coming 2019 winter season following the Western Suburbs District Junior Rugby League Ltd having gone into liquidation.

Advising that that all junior competitions will proceed, NSWRL Chief Executive David Trodden has has called a meeting for all junior rugby league clubs and life members from the area at Wests Leagues Club Campbelltown on the evening of Thursday 24th January.

Trodden advised “we want to assure all participants in the Western Suburbs District Junior Rugby League that despite recent difficulties, junior competitions will proceed in the area in 2019.

“NSWRL is working in close consultation with other stakeholders including Wests Tigers, Wests Magpies and Wests Leagues Club Campbelltown to ensure that all of the players from Western Suburbs District Junior Rugby League are looked after.
