read moreNSW National Parks and Wildlife Services (NPWS) has opted for a more user-friendly way for national park visitors to purchase and renew its access passes.
Since 20th April 2021, all new or renewed annual passes as well as some day passes for entry to NSW NPWS will be digital passes linked to vehicles, as part of the Digital NPWS Parks Pass Program.
This transition to digital passes will allow national park visitors a faster, easier and hassle-free way to buy and manage NSW NPWS passes, including renewal and applying documents for discounted and concession passes.
The Digital NPWS Parks Pass Program also means that park visitors can immediately enter the parks, with no more waiting for a sticker in the mail to display on their windscreen.
Popular national parks in Sydney and the Blue Mountains area, including Royal and Sydney Harbour National Parks, are introducing digital day passes, meaning tickets will no longer be required to be displayed.
The full conversion to digital park passes will happen in phases over the next 24 months. As such with existing passes remaining valid until their expiry date - NSW NPWS still require these passes to be displayed correctly on vehicles.
Visit NSW NPWS for more information on digital park passes.
