National Sports Convention brings sport and recreation leaders and professionals together
Due to be staged in Melbourne next week, the National Sports Convention is bringing together key industry leaders, professionals and stakeholders together with multiple conference streams relating to enhancing sport and recreation participation and facility development.
Being held for the first time out of Sydney, National Sports Convention (NSC) has already surpassed past delegate registrations while the event’s exhibition component is alreaady full.
Being held from 19th to 21st the three-day Convention includes the National Sports Conference, the National Football Conference, the Australian Sports Commission National Sports Plan Forum/ Community Sport Think and Sport and Recreation Expo.
National Sports Conference - Thursday 20th and Friday 21st July
With 65 industry speakers and over 400 registered delegates including senior executives and directors of national and state sporting bodies, representatives of most State/Territory departments of sport and recreation, local governments, sporting clubs and from the education sector.
National Football Conference - Thursday 20th and Friday 21st July
With an emphasis on growing the game locally supported by Football Federation Australia, Football Federation Victoria, Football NSW, the program includes keynote international speakers and a focus on coaching, facilities, IT solutions and funding .
Australian Sports Commission National Sports Plan Forum/ Community Sport Think -Wednesday 19th July
Presenting a unique opportunity to both hear global and Australian key policy makers and influencers discuss and answer questions on what they think Australia should be focusing on, before each delegate has the opportunity to express their views on the new National Sports Plan.
Sport and Recreation Expo - Thursday 20th and Friday 21st July
With a sell-out expo, NSC has more than 60 exhibitors, with services, solutions and products including sports surfaces and equipment, technology and display solutions, industry media and consulting services.
Sports Surfaces Tour - Wednesday 19th July
This tour explores the latest technology and thinking around how to increase carrying capacity of natural, hybrid, synthetic sports turf and other hard sport surfaces.
Innovative Leisure Facilities Tour - Wednesday 19th July
This tour will visit some of the latest facilities and listen to the leading architects and thinkers on future facility provision.
High Performance Centres of Excellence Tour - Wednesday 19th July
Showcasing unique designs, technology and thinking on both community and elite facilities.
The NSC is being held at the Pullman Albert Park, Melbourne from Wednesday 19th to Friday 21st July.
