Mövenpick BDMS wellness resort Bangkok enhances quarantine program
July 30, 2020

Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok and The Bangkok Hospital have advised of the extension to  their innovative Alternative State Quarantine program, which gives Thai nationals and expat travellers a stylish, safe and spacious place to stay upon their return to the Kingdom.

Due to the popularity of this program, the resort has decided to extend it until 31st October 2020 and upgrade the initiative to include its largest and most luxurious suites.

Nestled in the heart of Bangkok Sukhumvit district, Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok is an elegant low-rise sanctuary surrounded by 1.2 acres of tropical gardens and century-old trees. Its inviting freeform pool and wide public spaces provide a soothing and secluded setting, letting guests unwind in complete privacy. The resort’s holistic wellness concept, including nutritious cuisine and state-of-the-art fitness facilities, ensures that guests can stay healthy throughout their stay.

As the world starts moving again, demand for international-standard, service-oriented quarantine solutions in Thailand is rising. Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok has become a leader in Alternative State Quarantine hospitality, with packages that combine an extended stay and exceptional amenities with world-class medical monitoring by Bangkok Hospital.

Under the program, which is certified by the Royal Thai Government, air passengers arriving in Thailand can book the 15-day “Health Watch” package at Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort, including comfortable accommodation in some of Bangkok biggest rooms (minimum 42 metres2), all featuring a private balcony with garden or city views, along with three daily meals and a VIP airport transfer.

The resort has now increased its room allocation for quarantine stays from 50 to 250 rooms and suites. For the first time, VIP guests seeking an exclusive quarantine experience can now book the resort’s Presidential Suite and Royal Suite. Each of these stunning suites offers 164 metres2 of living space, with separate bedrooms, a working area, dining room, a balcony with views of the lush landscaped gardens, and a spa-inspired ensuite bathroom with rainfall showers and bathtubs. Guests can also stay fully connected with free Wi-Fi, two 55-inch Smart TVs, and access to over 7,000 newspaper and magazine titles using the PressReader app.

To ensure that guests benefit from the best medical care, they will receive daily health monitoring at the hotel under nurse supervision, two COVID-19 tests, immune system enhancing supplements, and access to Bangkok Hospital’s doctors via TytoCare, the on-demand medical examination service, if they should require it.

Every guest will also receive a Health Watch membership card as a farewell gift. Valid until 31st December 2021, this card promises numerous benefits, including 25% discounts on F&B and future stays, a special rate of THB 4,000 for the first night in a Wellness Suite, a second free night, and three 50% discount vouchers at Tamarind, Khum Hom and Rim Klong Café, the resort’s celebrated culinary destinations.

Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok recently became the first Mövenpick hotel in Thailand to be awarded the ALLSAFE label by Accor. Approved by Bureau Veritas, a world leader in hygiene inspections, this certificate is only given to properties that adhere to the most stringent health and safety standards, including upgraded cleaning protocols, enhanced staff training, new guest contact processes and strict food standards. Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok has also been awarded the Amazing Thailand Safety and Health Administration (SHA) certificate from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Clean Together certification from the Department of Health, under Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health.

The 15-day Health Watch package is priced at US$1930 (THB 60,300) net per person for a Deluxe Room, US$2200 (THB 68,700) net for a Wellness Suite, and US$ 765 (THB 180,000) net for the Presidential Suite and the Royal Suite.
