MOBIPOST enables SMS marketing for MINDBODY

Mobile messaging provider MOBIPOST has released a new SMS application, MOBIPOST for MINDBODY, part of the company’s successful integration with leading cloud-based fitness business management software MINDBODY.

MOBIPOST for MINDBODY is a cloud-based platform that allows clients to send highly targeted SMS campaigns to individuals, or specific groups of clients, members, ex-members or prospects.

MOBIPOST spokesperson Darren Press explained that in the competitive fitness sector owners and operators are under constant pressure to control costs and at the same time grow their businesses.

Press explained “SMS is an economical communication channel, and one that is remarkably effective for campaign activity because it is non-invasive, yet personal.”

According to a 2015 Deloitte survey, communicating through ‘traditional’ means such as SMS is still the most represented function of the mobile world with 90% of smartphone owners using SMS with checking SMS continuing to be Australians’ ‘go-to’ interaction first thing in the morning .

MINDBODY APAC Regional Sales Manager, Eric M. Ward, said that the US-based company is delighted about the MOBIPOST integration as SMS as a marketing channel was underutilised in Australia.

Ward commented “thousands of business owners in the wellness services industry around Australia use MINDBODY to help run, market and build their business.

“Providing the capability to run targeted campaigns via SMS will really help our customers attract, retain and grow their businesses, while simplifying marketing operations.”

MOBIPOST for MINDBODY automatically syncs with the MINDBODY client database and will allow clients to quickly and easily retrieve and filter live data via a range of search criteria.

Press concluded “in today’s cluttered marketing environment, the need for relevant and targeted campaigns is more important than ever.

“With MOBIPOST for MINDBODY, campaigns can be set up and implemented in a matter of minutes, and they can be specifically matched to help wellness service businesses grow, with ideas ranging from new class promotions to referral campaigns or offers to get ex-members back.”
