Melbourne to host inaugural Asia-Pacific Sport Analytics Conference
A new industry conference that aims to celebrate the achievements and the future of sports analytics in the Asia-Pacific region is to be held at KPMG’s offices in Melbourne on Friday 28th August 2015.
Backed by KPMG and the Professional Services Champions League (PSCL), a leading authority on analytical workforces and business competitions, the inaugural Asia-Pacific Sport Analytics Conference will be dedicated to all aspects of data analytics in sports performance and business, from player performance data, forecasting results, wearables and video technology, to analysis of fan engagement strategies and estimation of your club’s brand value.
The mission of this conference is to provide a forum for industry professionals, including executives and researchers, to discuss the increasing role of analytics in Australia and the global sports industry.
The organisers believe that sports analytics is not just a catchphrase, but an influential part of the future of sport.
They explain “every day, the way we consume sports data and how the game is played is changing the face of the sports industry.
“The Conference is dedicated to fostering growth and innovation in this analytics arena, and the Sports Analytics Conference enriches opportunities for learning about the sports business world.
