Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre unveils revamped meeting space

Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre unveils revamped meeting space
April 5, 2024

The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), Malaysia’s premier purpose-built business events destination, has announced its newly refurbished meeting space that comes with a dedicated solutions package called SmartConnect@301.

Catering to event organisers seeking a unique and technologically advanced environment for their events, the space boasts a private balcony overlooking the PETRONAS Twin Towers and the sprawling 50-acre KLCC Park.

Designed with the Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) culture in mind, the newly refurbished space seamlessly blends sophisticated comfort with cutting-edge technology.

Launching the new offering, KLCC General Manager, John Burke advised “we are thrilled to introduce our new and revamped meeting space equipped with innovative features and dedicated premium services.

“This refurbishment marks the latest phase in our ongoing efforts to ensure our product and solutions remain competitive and relevant to the ever-evolving needs of meeting organisers and attendees. Catering to organisers seeking a distinctive and technologically advanced meeting environment, this space offers new user-friendly and eco-conscious features.”

The room features a smart office system, occupancy sensors, an expansive 136-inch LED screen and an 86-inch interactive screen. These in-built technologies facilitate seamless connection of multiple devices, content casting, energy conservation and paperless meetings. Offered with SmartConnect@301, a comprehensive solutions package that includes a dedicated food and beverage service and a technical specialist, the room’s versatility allows it to transform for any event, from corporate board meetings to social gatherings.

KLCC Head of Technical Services, Alifhazwah Mohammed Yahaya added “today’s delegates are tech savvy and expect venues to cater to their needs. We want to meet these expectations, not by offering the latest in gadgets, but by offering the right solution for each event, maximising the benefits for our clients and guests. Whether that is seamless connections across the globe or within the same space, our goal is to promote better engagement and ensure a truly exciting event experience.”

Burke went on to say “the launch of our refreshed meeting room and its SmartConnect@301 solutions package underscores our unwavering commitment to providing the right environment for learning, business or leisure.

“With ongoing upgrades planned for completion throughout the year and beyond, we are confident that these enhancements will not only meet but exceed our clients’ and stakeholders’ evolving needs and expectations, further solidifying our position as the region’s leading venue of choice.”
