read moreSet to open in 2015, the Kidzania Family Entertainment Centre on Singapore's Sentosa Island is looking to link with local businesses.
With Singapore-based The Soup Spoon, electronics company Canon, financial institution Maybank and dairy product company Yakult already on board, up to 30 companies are expected to help children role play in different occupations such as journalists, bankers and fashion designers.
In addition to The Soup Spoon, KidZania Singapore is hoping other local companies will become part of what will be the largest family entertainment centre in Singapore.
Housed in a three-storey building at Palawan Beach on Singapore's Sentosa Island, the FEC will cover an area of 11,500 metre2 and will also house rides and arcade games.
Originally from Mexico, KidZania is a unique concept which allows children to learn about the world of adult occupations by role-playing different professions. KidZania offers an interactive learning and entertainment experience targeted at children aged four to 14, combining role-play with real life.
KidZania Singapore will complement the spectrum of activities currently available on Sentosa Island, with Sentosa Development Corporation Chief Executive Mike Barclay stating "KidZania's unique role-play concept will raise the bar for edutainment and fun on Sentosa through immersive learning."
