Investment guide to help grow Queensland tourism

Investors are encouraged to back Queensland’s tourism industry by making use of a guide to tourism investment and development opportunities.
Introducing the recently launched Queensland Tourism Investment Guide 2015/16, Queensland Tourism and Major Events Minister Kate Jones stated "the guide is the first of its kind and profiles tourism infrastructure investment characteristics and opportunities in regions across Queensland.
“Queensland’s tourism industry contributes more than $23 billion to the state economy and supports more than 230,000 jobs.
“I encourage local and international investors to use this guide to discover the outstanding tourism investment opportunities Queensland has to offer.”
Minister Jones said the guide featured testimonials from investors who have recognised the opportunities Queensland presents.
She added “(the Queensland Government) is committed to creating an environment that attracts the investment required for Queensland to keep growing as a tourism destination for domestic and international visitors.
“We know that tourism growth supports small business and creates jobs across Queensland and that’s why I am determined to see more investment in this vital industry for our state.
“Investment in new tourism infrastructure, along with refurbishment of existing product, is essential for the growth of our tourism industry.”
The guide was developed in collaboration with property professionals Jones Lang LaSalle.
