read moreInland NSW Tourism has partnered with Bauer Media Group to deliver its new digital platform ‘Travel In’ which aims to help grow overnight visitation and expenditure to NSW’s inland communities.
The new program has received funding support of $832,000 over two years from the NSW Government through Destination NSW under the Regional Visitor Economy Fund.
‘Travel In’ will feature content focussing on championing regional destinations and key pillars of consumer interest in food and wine, nature, history and heritage, arts and culture and events.
It also aims to make it easier for people to book and research their travel in regional NSW.
Bauer owns the extensive former ACP publishing network, including 85 titles such as Australian Women’s Weekly, Australian Geographic, Gourmet Traveller, 4X4, Caravan World and Woman’s Day.
Introducing the initiative, Inland NSW Chief Executive Graham Perry said the ‘Travel In’ program will deliver an enhanced digital experience for all travellers.
Perry stated “the project aligns with our Destination Management Plan strategy, which identified the delivery of a digital solution for consumers as a key driver to increase overnight visitation expenditure.
“We’re excited by the potential of ‘Travel In’, and are delighted by our strong partnership with Bauer.”
Inland NSW has also appointed two new independent directors to its Board; principal lawyer Alyssa Antcliffe and researcher and marketing expert Bronwyn White.
As the Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO) representing almost 40% of regional NSW, strong industry and commercial expertise on Inland NSW’s Board drives its capacity to deliver its strategy of doubling overnight visitation expenditure by 2020.
Principal of boutique law firm Antcliffes, Alyssa Antcliffe specialises in intellectual property, commercial, regulatory and planning law. The firm focuses on assisting businesses which want to create something with enduring value and growth through innovation.
Director of MyTravelResearch.com, Bronwyn White has over 25 years’ experience in travel and tourism industry market research, sales and marketing, including previous roles with Qantas Airways and as Executive Officer for the New England North West RTO.
