Ardent Leisure owned Goodlife Health Clubs has completed the rebranding of Western Australian clubs formerly operated by Zest Health Clubs.

The clubs; at Bibra Lakes, Bicton, Cannington, Osborne Park and Joondalup; have been rebranded and are trading under the Goodlife brand, and bring the Groupâs presence in and around Perth to six clubs â the other club being at the Westfield Carousel shopping centre in Madeley/Kingsway.

Speaking about the acquisition earlier this year, Ardent Group Chief Executive Greg Shaw explained that the Groupâs expansion into WA âstrengthen(s) our health club platform to enhance earnings growth during the forecast economic recovery.

"The Western Australian market is currently less competitive than the Eastern States and the acquisition will provide a cost effective entry point for us to add new centres in future years."

Zest Health Clubsâ once national profile has now reduced to just five clubs in WA, some of which now trade independently while still using the Zest brand.

Goodlife is also expanding trials of its Revive Weight Control Program, the weight loss initiative now being offered to members at clubs in Wantirna, Victoria and at Alexandra Hills and Cleveland in Queensland.

The program combines the proven and successful eating program of Ultra Lite, with a movement regime designed by Goodlife. The program is delivered by Reviveâs qualified nutritional and movement coaches, who provide the one-on-one coaching and support.

Beyond the three trialling clubs, Goodlife is considering expanding the program to another four sites in early 2011.

Ultra Lite is a weight and health management eating program, developed over 14 years ago by a Melbourne naturopath, whose goal was to create a holistic program based on healthy eating principles of wholesome, natural foods.

From the humble beginnings of one clinic in Melbourne, the Ultra Lite program is now currently recommended by almost 550 health professionals, pharmacies, day spas and health food stores in Australia and New Zealand.

More than 400,000 patients have participated in the program.

The program is focused on providing you with an eating plan that is easy, uses real food and provides a menu of choice.

Goodlife Health Clubs was established in 2002, and now boasts more than 33 clubs Australia-wide. Since inception, itâs been Goodlifeâs goal to create a welcoming environment where fitness, health, nutrition and wellbeing go hand-in-hand.
