read moreFollowing the success of its first Facilities Forum last year, Football NSW is to stage another a one-day Facilities Forum at its recently redeveloped Valentine Sports Park headquarters.
To be staged on Friday 6th November, the event is aimed at members of the football family featuring presentations, panel discussions and plenty of debate and information sharing on a wide variety of facilities topics.
Debuting in 2014, the event was well received by football clubs and associations, local councils, sportsground managers and a range of other interested parties.
Now, Football NSW Head of Facilities Development and Government Relations Ricardo Piccioni is eagerly anticipating this year’s instalment.
Piccioni explained “following the success of last year’s Forum, Football NSW looks forward to welcoming a wide range of football stakeholders to Valentine Sports Park, to hear all the latest news from the world of facilities.
“This year we’ll have the leading synthetic turf suppliers in one room presenting case studies and discussing technological advances, and we’ll get an update on FIFA’s changes to the testing and evaluation of fields.
“A brand new concept for Modular Amenities Blocks will be unveiled, and we’ll also hear the latest on LED Lighting and the plan to get defibrillators onto our sports fields.
“It promises to be a fantastic afternoon and a great opportunity for our club and association members and representatives from Local and State Government to network and take a look at the recently refurbished Home of Football.”
The afternoon will include case studies, panel discussions, networking and information sharing on a variety of facilities subjects. The Forum is aimed at connecting and educating football stakeholders and facilities providers, from associations and clubs to local councils and state government.
A number of leading synthetic surface suppliers will present case studies on recent projects and discuss the latest technological advances while sports surfaces consultant Martin Sheppard will give update on FIFA’s proposed changes to the testing and evaluation of fields.
There will also be sessions on modular amenity blocks, LED lighting, engagement with local councils and defibrillators – including the latest from the NSW Office of Sport.
The event with lunch in the Valentine Café at midday, with the Forum to take place in the Dining Room upstairs from 1pm. This will be followed by a brief tour of VSP and networking drinks from 4.30pm in the new FNSW offices.
