read moreThe Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School (BMIHMS) is set to be the first private higher education provider to individually host the annual Council for Australasian Tourism and Hospitality Education (CAUTHE) conference.
The annual CAUTHE research conference brings together tourism, hospitality and events professionals from academia, government and business to promote informative, stimulating and challenging discussion on the latest issues in the field.
To be held in Sydney from 8th to 11th February, CAUTHE 2016’s theme is ‘The Changing Landscape: The Impact of Emerging Markets and Destinations’ and will explore how, as the number of travellers from emerging markets continues to rise, and ‘new’ destinations develop, the tourism and hospitality industry is faced with a rapidly changing demand for the products and services that are offered.
BMIHMS Head of Academic Affairs, Dr Scott Richardson, said the team was thrilled to be hosting the conference, commenting “each year, CAUTHE presents a wonderful opportunity for experienced professionals to unite, share ideas and engage in meaningful conversation on a wide range of topics.
“It’s a huge honour for BMIHMS to be hosting such a significant global event.
“I have no doubt that CAUTHE 2016 will be an incredibly valuable and informative experience for everyone involved.”
Acknowledged as one of Australia’s leading hotel school for hospitality education, BMIHMS is known for its internationally recognised hospitality and business degree courses, all of which are highly regarded within the hospitality management industry.
The School provides students with a valuable and unique combination of theoretical knowledge and practical experience, ensuring that they are well equipped to commence their careers immediately following graduation.
Since 1991, BMIHMS has produced more than 3,000 graduates from over 50 countries. Due to its successful industry placement program and extensive network of hospitality industry partners including major hotel chains, boutique properties, resorts and events companies, BMIHMS students have excellent employment prospects.
