FIBO organisers announce global fitness innovation award
The organisers of FIBO, Europe's leading trade fair for fitness, wellness and health, has invited all event exhibitors to submit their product innovations for the 2015 FIBO Innovation Award.
Aiming to recognise innovative products and original training approaches, 2015 will mark the 16th presentation of the award, in cooperation with TÜV Rheinland Group and Fit For Fun magazine.
Participants, who must submit their entries before 19th February, may apply for the award in the following four categories: Training Equipment for Fitness, Rehabilitation and Prevention; Health Promotion (which includes both products and services); Interior & Design and Training Concepts (such as functional training or group fitness).
Submitted products must represent an innovative advancement for the entire sector while the product launch must have happened no longer than one year before the FIBO 2015 trade fair.
After 19th February 2015, nominated products will then be introduced to the fitness industry at the trade fair, which will take place from 9th to 12th April.
An independent panel of experts will judge all submitted innovations and select the nominated products.
The award presentation will see three products from each of the categories receive the prestigious ‘Silver Seal’ and, identified as award nominees, presented to an international audience of trade professionals at the FIBO Innovation Forum in Hall 9 during the entire trade fair.
Then, at an award ceremony at 3pm on FIBO Friday 10th April 2015, winners will be honoured with the FIBO ‘Golden Seal’.
Thanks to 116,000 visitors and 700 exhibitors, FIBO is Europe's leading trade fair for fitness, wellness and health. Every year in April, global top-decision makers of the industry come together in the German city of Cologne looking for the latest innovations and trends for their gyms, wellness facilities, medical and physiotherapy practises, and related facilities.
